The DaXia Hydropower Station is located on the outlet section of the Yellow River DaXia Canyon, 137km away from the upstream Liujiaxia Hydropower Station, 29km away from the upstream Xiaoxia Hydropower Station, and 31km away from the downstream Wujinxia Hydropower Station. The control basin area is 227,800 km³, the annual average runoff is 33.4 billion m³, and the annual average flow is 1059m³/s. The total storage capacity of the reservoir is 90 million m³, which is a daily regulating reservoir.
