The top 10 hydropower stations in China

Yichang is the important location of national strategic facilities such as the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhou Dam, and is known as "the capital of hydropower in the world." In January 2002, Weite was established in Yichang. In August 2002, Weite's first product was used in hydropower stations. No. 1 power station: Three Gorges Hydropower Plant 

The Three Gorges Hydropower Station in Yichang, Hubei is not only the number one Dam in China, but also the number one Dam in the world. The total installed capacity is 22.5 million kilowatts, and the annual power generation is about 90 billion kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of a medium province. It has made outstanding contributions to China's power supply, energy conservation and emission reduction. 

Service items: In 2018, Weite Technology Co., Ltd. installed a safety monitoring system for 20 units large overhead cranes in the Three Gorges Power Plant. 

The project passed the owner's acceptance.

No.2 power station: Baihetan Power Station (under construction)

Baihetan Hydropower Station is the second cascade power station on the Jinsha River. It was originally planned to have an installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts. Now some of the units are generating electricity first, and all projects are expected to be completed in 2022.

Service items: The crane safety monitoring system produced by Weite is used in the construction crane of Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Bureau to help the construction of Baihetan Hydropower Station.

No.3 power station: Xiluodu Power Station

The Xiluodu Hydropower Station is also located on the Jinsha River, with a total installed capacity of 13.86 million kilowatts. The project was completed and put into operation in 2014 and is the backbone power supply from west to east.

No.4  power station: Wudongde Power Station (under construction)

Wudongde Hydropower Station is the first cascade power station on the Jinsha River. It was originally planned to have an installed capacity of 10.2 million kilowatts and is currently under construction.

No.5 power station: Xiangjiaba Power Station

Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is the last hydropower station on the Jinsha River, with a total installed capacity of 7.75 million kilowatts. The "Upward Project" ± 800KV UHV DC demonstration project was sent from here.

No.6 power station: Longtan Hydropower Station

Longtan Hydropower Station is a landmark project of power transmission from west to east, and the highlight of the western development. The total installed capacity is 6.3 million kilowatts. The project was completed and put into operation in 2009, with an annual power generation capacity of 18.7 billion kilowatt hours.

 No.7 power station: Nuozhadu Hydropower Station

The Nuozhadu Hydropower Station is located in the lower reaches of the Lancang River and has a total installed capacity of 5.85 million kilowatts. It is the largest hydropower station in Yunnan Province and one of the power transmission points from west to east.

Project Introduction: Weite completed the installation and commissioning of the underwater visual monitoring and management system of the tail water trolley of Nuozhadu Hydropower Station in September 2016, and passed the acceptance by the owner.

 No.8 power station: Jinping II Hydropower Station.

Jinping II Hydropower Station is located in the Yalong River. It uses natural drop to directly excavate the tunnel to divert water to generate electricity. It is the largest hydraulic tunnel in the world. The total installed capacity is 4.8 million kilowatts, and the annual power generation is about 24.2 billion per year.

Project Introduction: In December 2018, the safety monitoring and management system of 4 units bridges and portal cranes of Jinping Second-level Power Station installed by Weite successfully checked and accepted the owner and special inspection, and the current operation status is excellent.

No.9 power station: Xiaowan Hydropower Station

The Xiaowan Hydropower Station is located in the middle reaches of the Lancang River, which has played an important role in the regulation of the Lancang River Hydropower Base after it was put into operation. The total installed capacity is 4.2 million kilowatts and the annual power generation capacity is 19 billion kilowatt-hours.

Project introduction: The opening load meter matched by Weite is applied to the 3600KN fixed hoist hoist of the spillway of Xiaowan Hydropower Station, which plays an important role in the flood control and maintenance of the power station.

No.10 power station: Laxiwa Hydropower Station

Laxiwa Hydropower Station is the only hydropower station on the Yellow River among the top ten hydropower stations, with a total installed capacity of 4.2 million kilowatts and an annual power generation capacity of approximately 10.3 billion.

Project Introduction: In May 2019, the bridge crane, two-way portal crane, tail water trolley monitoring system and underwater visualization system project undertaken by Weite Technology Co., Ltd. were qualified by the power plant and passed the Xining Special Equipment Supervision Inspection, officially put into use.
