In industrial fields such as shipbuilding, gantry cranes and other lifting equipment are widely used. However, various types of machines frequently cross-operate in the field, and the potential collision between cranes seriously threatens personnel safety and production progress. To resolve this problem, Weite launched an active anti-collision system for gantry cranes to ensure the safety of lifting operations in the shipbuilding industry.

The radar actively monitors the paths of the crane's easily-collision-prone moving parts and detects whether there are obstacles in the area. This helps to avoid the safety of the areas between cranes, between the rotating parts and other objects, and between the boom and surrounding objects. When the safety zone is invaded, it issues an audible and visual alarm, and even gives a stop control signal, to achieve active anti-collision monitoring and ensure equipment safety.
Technical requirements
1. The laser multi-line radar scans the three-sided space of the boom, performs point cloud imaging, locates the nearest point of the intruding object, and provides three-view images and data.
2. Monitor the three-sided area in the middle of the boom, accurately detect objects, provide sound and light warnings and alarm prompts, and the warning/alarm area can be adjusted individually.

The sensor uses a hybrid solid-state multi-line laser pan-tilt radar, which continuously scans the external environment by emitting high-frequency laser beams while rapidly rotating the laser emission component, and obtains the point cloud pattern data scattered by the point array (light) on the surface of the obstacle, that is, the 3D information of the obstacle in the 360° area environment. Based on the configured anti-collision system software using the PCL algorithm library, the clustering of the obstacle point cloud (that is, the three-dimensional cloud recognition of the object) is obtained and extracted, and then the minimum distance from the obstacle point cloud to the specified plane is calculated to achieve the monitoring of the closest point of the obstacle.
System advantages
1. Wide field of view: It can achieve 360°x90° stereoscopic space large-scale high-speed coverage scanning, with small blind spots and safer. At the same time, it reduces the number of sensors and reduces construction and maintenance costs.
2. High computing power and high speed: The number of output points is up to 600,000 points/second, which can quickly calculate the minimum spacing and make the alarm not delayed.
3. High precision: ranging accuracy ±3 cm, resolution up to 0.2°.
4. Dual system fusion: On the basis of the laser radar anti-collision system, the video auxiliary monitoring system is integrated to make the anti-collision area monitoring concrete.
5. Real-time monitoring: An integrated industrial host is installed in the operation room. The interface uses graphics, text, sound, color and other forms to display the working conditions, operation data and status in real time, and provide dynamic sound and light alarm functions. The system also has the storage of real-time data and alarm records, and can query and export historical records.
After the equipment is installed and debugged, Weite will arrange experienced engineering and technical personnel to provide free technical training for the user's engineering and technical personnel, operators and maintenance personnel to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and system.
