Quanzhou Minguang was established on November 6, 2001, located in Hutou Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province. The company covers an area of 2,072 acres and has more than 2,800 employees. It is a metallurgical joint enterprise integrating sintering, iron-making, steel-making, continuous casting and steel rolling, ending the history of "steelless production" in Quanzhou.

On March 30, 2018, Fujian Sangang Minguang Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sangang Group, issued shares to purchase Sanan Iron and Steel assets. On July 13 of that year, Fujian Sanan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to "Fujian Quanzhou Minguang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.".

Quanzhou Minguang has many production equipment, among which the role of metallurgical cranes in production cannot be underestimated.
